Open-source licenses

Last updated: October 7, 2026

convert-box exists because of these open-source projects. Thank you to everyone who builds and maintains them. Each component is used, unmodified, under the license linked next to it. The license texts and copyright notices are included with this site in vendor/licenses/.

About the LGPL components

lamejs, and the libheif and libde265 libraries bundled inside heic2any, are licensed under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0, which builds on the GNU GPL v3.0. We ship them unmodified as separate files (vendor/lame.min.js and vendor/heic2any.min.js). Their complete source code is available at the links above, and you are free to replace those files with your own modified versions. The rest of convert-box only calls them through their public interfaces.
